Get Us A Martini, Inchling Prince
A few days ago, I put some Gibson Jazz strings on my $150 hollowbody (the one I'm holding in the picture up top), and was so pleased with the sound, I decided I needed to bust out something kinda jazzy.
As some of you know, one of my umpteen (well, four or five) musical side projects is Light Grey Sabbath, under which moniker I intend to do big band covers of Black Sabbath songs and the like. Consider this, then, to be a precursor to all of that.
Light Grey Sabbath - Katamari Damacy (opening cinematic)
Update: Somehow, I had forgotten to put reverb and EQ on any of that. Also, I did a lot more fiddling with the dynamics on the horns. Give it another listen, if your initial impression was "c-r-r-r-r-r-r-rap!"
I have already had one report that the guitar is too low in the mix, so feel free to mention things like that if you like. That guy may've heard an older mix, I dunno. Sounds okay to me.
If you're not familiar with Katamari Damacy, it's a charming and bizarre little Japanese game for the PlayStation 2. Here's the original intro scene from which the song came, worth watching for the sheer "WTF?" of it.
Also, if you're one of the 117,448,122 or so people who use MySpace, add me, won't you? At the moment, I am my only friend, and that's just pathetic.

Awesome! Get some more tunes up and I will happily play them on my MSN Space. I have run the gamut of your offerings already, including all of Revolution Block. I am also placing a link there as well.

So I'm beginning to think you still have a little bit of that guy that Ryan Wiggins found. The guy with the glasses and the white button down and khakis. Maybe you need a new dose of Master of Puppets or the modern day equivalent if there is one.
Having said that I stand by my art appreciation paper on Renaissance men. I know you don't need my help when it comes to inflating your ego, but I guess sometimes we look up to people that do things we can't. If it ever came down to it I would name drop or ride your coattails and be damn proud of it.
P.S.- I regret not making more of an effort to get a quality live recording of the Block. I think that may have been a better litmus test when it came to shopping your talents.
