I Shall Call Him...
If you had told me a few years ago that I would be sitting here drinking beer and watching state election results come in via constantly refreshing a webpage, I would have laughed in your face, but here I am, sitting here drinking beer and watching state, etc.
All because of Missouri's Amendment 2.
Earlier tonight, I was sure it would fail, being some 10% or more behind. In the past hour, I've watched it go from a 40K deficit to being 10K down, then to within 800 votes of success with 80% of precincts reporting. Now all of a sudden, it's up by 3500 11,500 votes.
As Bucco and Jared used to say, the moral majority is neither.
Incidentally, I'm a little sad that it bans human cloning, as I'm busy enough to make good use of it.

Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to allow and set limitations on stem cell research, therapies, and cures which will:ensure Missouri patients have access to any therapies and cures, and allow Missouri researchers to conduct any research, permitted under federal law; ban human cloning or attempted cloning; require expert medical and public oversight and annual reports on the nature and purpose of stem cell research; impose criminal and civil penalties for any violations; and prohibit state or local governments from preventing or discouraging lawful stem cell research, therapies and cures?
