Lightning, Desks, and Swordfish

Last night we had some really incredible electrical storms around 2 am. I stood outside and watched them for a while, which is probably not my brightest move ever, but it was very impressive. The lightning was pretty much constant to the west and southwest of our house. After a few minutes, it occurred to me to test out the digital camcorder function of my new camera, so I went in to grab it. Mind you, the storms had been going on for about seven hours at this point...but the moment I walked out with my camera, the lightning almost completely stopped. Pfft. I took about two minutes of video, but it's really not worth uploading, so I didn't.

I cleaned off my desk here at home yesterday. It looked pretty much like this.

Waldo's in here somewhere...

Exactly like that, actually. Among the results were:
Total value of loose coins $48.40
Issues of Maxim 3
Refrigerator magnets 1
USB cables 1
Compact discs 37
Atari stickers 3
Fender Medium guitar picks 7
Camel bucks not in desk organizer 122
Debit card receipts 49
Number of these statistics guessed at 1

And there you have it. Hoffa, to my knowledge, remains undiscovered.

In other news, Denise and I went to our favorite restaurant, Vivian's Vineyards, at the beginning of last night's aforementioned storm. We split filet maison and swordfish creole, and it was incredibly delicious, as always. Becky, the girl who typically serves us, is apparently now a manager. You, no doubt, do not really care, but it pleases me, and that's what counts. Should you find yourself in the Saint Charles area with nothing to eat (and a bit of extra money, as Vivian's is not cheap), I recommend dropping in. There, not here. I never have food here.

Okay, back to LFM.
