The Lord Is Coming Soon

I found this to be pretty interesting: http://gmail-is-too-creepy.com/.

Don't get me wrong, I like Google. Google is my home page. I use the Google toolbar in MSIE. It's been so long since I've used another search engine regularly, I almost forget what else is out there. Hell, this thing you're reading is Powered By Blogger™, another little country in the growing Google empire. I'm a good little internet sheep.

But there's no denying that Google is an internet superpower. As a company, Google, Inc. is extremely profitable, and they are in a nearly unique position to gather information on your websurfing habits and more. It takes more than a handful of virtual black helicopters to freak me out, but whether Google uses their not inconsiderable power for evil remains to be seen.

I'm just sayin'.

Bonus points to anyone who knows why the post title is relevant. Without Googling it. There, you see? They even have their own verb now.

Currently listening to: "Sleep", Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Okay, so I'm a rogue at heart, I cheated and Googled it. ;)

Is it because of the X-Files song lyrics? Had to look it up. Knew it had something to do with the X-Files.

~Lynn aka Sayrena, Caydence

Artist: Soul Coughing Lyrics
Song: Unmarked Helicopters Lyrics

Whose song is that remembered?
At random, surpenting
Throught fatty coils, emerging
Some other thought it's thinking
This light stands above the
Houses on the ground
This illumination
Visited upon the whole land
Unmarked helicopters
Hovering
The lord is coming soon

Here comes the super copter
Here comes the noise it makes
The demon was an idea
The demon is awake
Scratch mark traced across the
Surface of your mind
This hour, now upon us
The hour, now arrived

Unmarked helicopters
Hovering
The lord is coming soon
Unmarked helicopters
Hovering
They said it was a weather balloon

But i know the truth
I know the whole shebang
I know the names of men they had to hang
I let her out the trunk
Heard what she said at them
They've come to drag us through the double M
It goes black black black black and blacker...

Unmarked helicopters
Hovering
The lord is coming soon
Unmarked helicopters
Hovering
They said it was a weather balloon
It was a weather balloon...
